BRADFORD Creger, AIFA®, CPFA®, RF™
President
Brad Creger founded BFF Plan Services, Inc. (or BFF®) to improve the current 401(k) retirement plan model. As an experienced fiduciary auditor and plan administrator, Brad is leading BFF® in their quest to build a new approach for 401(k) retirement plans centered around providing plan sponsors with professional fiduciary-level plan administration services to better align the 401(k) plan model with the best interests of the plan participants.
In his role as President for BFF®, Brad brings an expert-level understanding of the requirements for ERISA compliance, coupled with relevant real-world business experience, all balanced with a common-sense approach to help BFF® meet the needs of the plan sponsor. Brad leads BFF® in their mission to execute successful and compliant 401(k) fiduciary-level 3(16) administrative services to ensure that company-sponsored employee benefit plans are being administered prudently, effectively, and efficiently.
Prior to establishing BFF®, Brad had been in financial services as an advisor since 1993 serving clients and servicing their 401k plans as the plan's financial advisor. Brad quickly recognized that the predominate 401k service model employed today creates significant personal liability for Plan Sponsors and doesn't provide the 401k Plan's participants with professional money management even thought they are paying fees which go to the 401k Plan's financial advisor.
In 2004, Brad began his quest to make improvements to the 401k industry by obtaining his AIFA® or Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst® designation. In 2010, Brad trademarked the FSPM® or Fiduciary Statement of Plan Management® service which is the foundation of our proprietary 401k plan administration services. In late 2016, Brad founded Benefits Functional Fiduciaries, Inc to offer 3(16) administration services which is being merged into BFF Plan Services, Inc.
Brad and his team at BFF® work with Plan Sponsors to assist them in the day-to-day administration of their ERISA-covered retirement plans as well as their health and welfare plans (through a related entity.) BFF® works directly with plan sponsors and 401k plan service providers with a focus on coordinating resources and resolving complex service and administrative issues.
Brad holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from UCLA, the Center for Fiduciary Studies' Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst® (AIFA®) designation, the National Association of Plan Advisor’s Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor® (CPFA®) designation and Dalbar's Registered Fiduciary (RF) designation.
